packing

tomorrow we leave for Africa. today we packed. 3 large suitcases between Linda and I, full of meds and school supplies, and a carry-on stuffed with clothes, plus an impressively sized backpack per person. that's a load. i feel like a small donkey. a slight improvement over the last four years. slightly overwhelming, but doable. just trying to figure out what i might be forgetting.... it's all very exciting, in some way i think this trip will change me. somehow. don't know in what way, but it's quite different from anything else i've done in the past. and that makes it significant. i hope i grow. i am, after all, a bit on the short side....
